Top Ten Tuesday #19

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish

Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic: Top 10 Sequels I Can't Wait to Get My Hands On! There are, somewhat surprisingly, a large number of sequels I can't wait to read, and not all of them are coming soon releases. Some of them are just sequels that I haven't gotten around to reading yet - but I will!

Curtsies & Conspiracies by Gail Carriger - Book #2 in her Finishing School series. This actually came out today! And I have my copy on order, so I can't wait for it to come in! I never expected to like this series as well as I do, but it's proven to be awesome and I can't wait to read more.

The Royal Ranger by John Flanagan - Book #12 in his Ranger's Apprentice series. This also came out today, and my copy is on order. I'm a bit nervous about it, because it could be disappointing. But I hope not.

Enders by Lissa Price - Book #2 in her Starters & Enders series. While not my favorite two-book series in the world, I did really enjoy Starters, and I'm really curious to see how the series ends.

Never Fade by Alexandra Bracken - Book #2 in her Darkest Minds series. The Darkest Minds had flaws, but I also found it to be much more enjoyable than I initially anticipated - and a lot darker. I can't wait to see what happens next!

Cress by Marissa Meyer - Book #3 in her Lunar Chronicles. Okay, this may be the #1 2014 sequel I am most anticipating. After Scarlet, my faith in Marissa's ability to write great books is completely 100%, and I really cannot wait to see what happens next to Cinder, Scarlet, Thorne, and Wolf.

The Shadow Throne by Jennifer A. Nielsen - Book #3 in her Ascendance Trilogy. Another #1 2014 most anticipated release - and also the most dreaded, because then the trilogy will be over! And I don't want it to be, because I love Sage so much!

Rebel Spring by Morgan Rhodes - Book #2 in her Falling Kingdoms series. December cannot come fast enough; I want this book now!

The Unbound by Victoria Schwab - Book #2 in her Archived series. The Archived was so original and had such good characters that I am dying to have another book with them! And The Unbound will probably be amazing!

The Interrupted Tale by Maryrose Wood - Book #4 in her Incorrigible Children of Ashton Place series. This book's release date was pushed back and pushed back so many times that I am really tired of waiting to see what happens next to Miss Plumley and the kids!

Diamonds & Deceit by Leila Rasheed - Book #2 in her At Somerton series. I know waiting for the next season of Downton Abbey is going to be horrible after this upcoming season, so Diamonds & Deceit will help.

  1. Ah, you just reminded me how many books I'm waiting for :P I should be getting my copy of "The Royal Ranger" today though I don't know if I'll start it right away or not, though... I probably will, even though I really need to get to some other books. Can't wait for "The Unbound" "Rebel Springs" and "The Shadow Throne" I'm so glad there's only a few months left to wait for all of those =D

  2. Great list! The Darkest Minds, Cinder and Archived are three series starters that I am still desperate to read myself - they all look so great. My TTT.

    1. There's actually an 11th that I'm really looking forward to as well: Book #3 in Robin LaFevers HIS FAIR ASSASSIN trilogy. Can't wait for that one. THE DARKEST MINDS is pretty good, CINDER is amazing, and THE ARCHIVED is even better. :)
