Top Ten Tuesday #65 + Teaser Tuesday #26

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish

This week's Top Ten Tuesday topic: Top 10 Characters I Wish Would Get Their Own Book. Well, this isn't easy. And this list is not going on the basis of whether or not these characters really do need their own book, because most of them, I can tell you, don't. But it's what my more fannish heart would wish for. So here we go:

  1. Gilan from Ranger's Apprentice by John Flanagan.
  2. Nikolai from The Grisha Trilogy by Leigh Bardugo.
  3. Calcifer from Howl's Moving Caste by Diana Wynne Jones.
  4. Arobynn Hamel from Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas
  5. Jonathan from The Roman Mysteries by Caroline Lawrence
  6. Lupus from The Roman Mysteries by Caroline Lawrence
  7. Halt from Ranger's Apprentice by John Flanagan
  8. Murtagh from The Inheritance Cycle by Christopher Paolini
  9. The Darkling from The Grisha Trilogy by Leigh Bardugo
  10. Marrin from The Book of D'ni by Rand Miller
And that was a pathetic attempt on my part, but this isn't my favorite Top 10 topic anyway. Hope you enjoyed!

"Exactly. And if an Imperial messenger isn't trying to reach the Jade Circle right now, I'll cook my sandal in butter and serve it to myself. If I were you," he said, glancing from Emil's face to Stefan's. "If I were you, I'd run." Empire of Shadows by Miriam Forster (pg. 427)

  1. Love this! "Cook my sandal in butter and serve it to myself" is much more interesting than "I'll eat my hat!"
My Tuesday post features THE LEGACY LETTERS.

    1. A sandal cooked in butter might not taste bad, either. ;)

    1. Wouldn't it? I don't know how it would work, but like I said - this is just a wish list, probably an impossible one.

    1. It is, Nyze. The first book was ok, but this one is so much better.
